Garage demolition & removalOur work

Garage demolition & removal on the North ShoreDecide what happens
underneath.

Three decisions set the scope and the price. We agree each one with you in writing before the work is booked.

  1. Keep the slab

The agreed garage structure comes down while the slab and neighbouring surfaces stay. We plan their protection as part of the removal.

  2. Remove the concrete too

Slabs and footings are priced separately. Tell us about any new structure so the depth and finish can be agreed with your builder.

  3. Attached or detached

An attached garage needs assessment of its connection to the house. Sheeted roofs and walls may need asbestos assessment before removal.

Our photographs show the garage before removal, the exposed frame and the bare frame before it comes down. The slab and adjoining surfaces are separate decisions for each job.

Good work.
In their words.

Did a great job at demolishing my garage for a reasonable price. When I asked them to remove extra rubbish that had not been planned for, they were more than happy to help.

Bill, Hussein and the entire team did an amazing demolition and asbestos removal job for me… they managed it all in less than a day to take down the garage and demo the adjoining shed.
Ashton P.Google review · February 2026
Removal of my asbestos garage ceiling. Professional, on time, on budget, and a safely executed good quality job.

For the garage itself with reasonable access. The slab, and a clearance certificate where there’s asbestos, are usually separate lines.

Check which permissions apply to the garage and any separate concrete removal. Boundary fences, neighbouring buildings and vehicle access need to be included in the assessment.

Hornsby

Agree the trees before the machinery

Hornsby usually needs a permit to prune or remove trees on private land, and trees affected by a new build are assessed with the development application. Settle which trees stay before we plan machine access.

Hunters Hill

Skips belong on the block

Hunters Hill expects skips to sit on private property. A skip on the road needs council approval at least seven business days ahead, with lights, barriers and cones.

Lane Cove

Look up the rules for your address

Lane Cove sends owners to the NSW Planning Portal to look up the rules for an address. Use it to see what applies to your block, then tell us what has to stay, including trees.

Mosman

Get a planning certificate

Mosman Council suggests a planning certificate to confirm whether your property is heritage-listed; the online maps are only a starting point. Your certifier or council confirms the approval route.

North Sydney

Using the road needs a permit

If a skip, a truck or our machine needs a North Sydney Council road or footpath, you need a permit first. We plan loading on your block where we can and tell you early if the street is needed.

Parramatta

Apply before using the street

A skip or building waste bin on a Parramatta street or footpath needs a Waste Container Permit, applied for before any work in the road reserve. Hoardings and scaffolding over the road need approval too.

Ryde

Check the rules for your address

The City of Ryde’s development control plan has different rules for houses, business areas and particular sites. Your council or certifier can tell you which ones apply to your address.

Council guidance checked between 15 September 2026 and 2 October 2026. These are matters to check, not a determination for an individual address. Your council or certifier confirms what applies.

How a garage demolition & removal runsFrom enquiry
to handover.

Three stages, in the order they happen. Who arranges each item is agreed before the job is booked.

  1. 01

    Assess the garage

Check the structure, access, suspected asbestos and any connection to a retained building.

  2. 02

    Prepare and remove

Confirm approvals and disconnections, arrange any asbestos work, then take down the agreed garage or shed.

  3. 03

    Finish the footprint

Remove the material and complete any separately agreed slab or footing work before handover.

More questions answered
Can a shed come down at the same time?

Yes. Sheds and other outbuildings next to the garage can be part of the same job and the same quote.

Is my garage’s fibro sheeting asbestos?

It might be. Only testing confirms it, so leave it undisturbed until it’s checked. If it is asbestos, our own team removes non-friable sheeting under our licence as part of the job.

Asbestos removal
Can you get a machine down my driveway?

That depends on the narrowest width, any turns and anything overhead. A photo of the way in and the narrowest measurement tell us which machine fits.
