The challenge
Taking down roof framing and masonry in controlled stages close to neighbouring homes and the street, with dust management a key consideration.
The excavator worked through the rooms from inside the footprint, behind the screened street frontage.

A crew member hosed the rubble and the wall being pulled, so the dust stayed down as the brickwork came apart.

Shade-cloth screening on the temporary fence closed the frontage off from the footpath for the whole job.

The roof framing opened up first, then the excavator worked through the rooms from inside the footprint.
