The challenge
Working between closely spaced buildings and boundary walls, with muddy ground, standing water and limited room to manoeuvre machinery.
We worked the wet ground beside the block retaining wall and the neighbouring house, using compact excavators that fitted the available space.

Compact excavators fitted the strip between the walls, with room for a worker at the cut face beside them.

A cutting attachment stood on its own stand beside the machine, close to the cut face.

The later photos show sandstone spoil heaped between the buildings, waiting to be loaded out.
